Japan spares - big money

Last month I bit the bullet and purchased a hi miler ST205 - My current repair bill is mounting fast, and now I find the centre bearing support on the drive shaft to the rear diff needs replacing. These are over 600 dollars ex-Japan. Has anyone come up with a substitute part for less .... ?

if i understand correctly -

if i understand correctly - you want to replace the bushing not the steel support? if the steel piece - it should easy be made by any garage that has a welder. if its the bushing - try to find some garage shop that makes polyurethane bushings, give them the part and they should find some soft rubber material and copy the part. ive never seen this part selling on ebay or smth ;/
